DiscoverFrenchman's Creek Homes For Sale
About the Community
The land that became Frenchman’s Creek was bought by the Hoyt family in 1935 and acquired in 1977 by developers Burt Haft and Jack Gaines from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. Zoning at the time would have permitted as many as 3,300 units. The developers built 600 instead, and that decision still defines the place: wide setbacks, long water views and a density far below what the parcel could legally hold.
The creek that gives the community its name winds through the property and connects to the Intracoastal Waterway. According to the club’s own history, it was named by a young Billy Hoyt after his mother’s favorite novel — Daphne du Maurier’s Frenchman’s Creek. In 1986 the community added an oceanfront parcel in Juno Beach and built the private beach club that residents still use today.
Entry is through a manned gatehouse, and the community maintains full-time security throughout its streets. Frenchman’s Creek sits in the 33410 ZIP code, within the city limits of Palm Beach Gardens and about 18 miles north of President Donald J. Trump International Airport in West Palm Beach, the airport known as Palm Beach International until July 2026.
Homes in Frenchman’s Creek
The housing stock is varied for a community of its size. Buyers will find Mediterranean-inspired townhomes and patio homes, golf villas overlooking the North and South courses, and large custom estates on the water. Most homes were built between the late 1970s and the 1990s, and a substantial share have since been renovated to the studs or replaced entirely, so architecture and interior finish levels vary widely from street to street.
Roughly 95 homes sit on deep-water canals with private dockage and direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway and, from there, the Atlantic. Loggerhead Marina nearby accommodates larger vessels, generally in the 30- to 120-foot range. Homes not on the water typically front a golf hole, a lake or the creek itself.
Club Amenities
Frenchman’s Creek Beach & Country Club is in the middle of the largest capital project in its history. Announced in 2022 at a cost of $74 million, the plan replaces a clubhouse of roughly 85,000 square feet with a new building of 124,450 square feet, built around a main dining room set beneath a two-story clerestory cupola. Alongside it are a ballroom, meeting and event space, card rooms, locker rooms, and golf and tennis shops. Named dining venues include Opus for waterfront dining, Greenside for poolside fare, and a sports bar. The Kids Creek Club provides supervised programming for younger residents and visiting grandchildren. Prospective buyers should ask the club directly which facilities and venues are currently in service.
The wellness center is open around the clock and was itself expanded in a separate project that enlarged the fitness floor and renovated the club’s back-of-house. It offers cardio and strength equipment, group fitness classes, personal training, and a full-service spa with beauty and body treatments. On-site physical therapy is provided through a partnership with Jupiter Medical Center. A dog park and concierge services round out day-to-day club life.
Golf
Frenchman’s Creek has two 18-hole courses. The North Course is a Jim Fazio design — a par-72 layout of roughly 6,900 yards known for rolling contours and more pine than palm, which gives it an unusual look for South Florida. The South Course, a Robert Cupp design running to about 7,000 yards, plays through tree-lined corridors with water in play across much of the back nine. The original routing for both courses is credited to Gardner Dickinson.
Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design began work at the club in the summer of 2026, with completion targeted for that fall. The project covers a full rebuild of the driving range with a traditional tee line and a dedicated iron tee, a relocated and expanded short-game complex near the first tees, and a redesign of the South Course’s 9th hole.
Racquet Sports and Recreation
The racquet program runs on 26 Har-Tru and stadium courts supporting tennis, pickleball and creek ball, plus two full-size bocce courts and a dedicated pro shop. Court capacity has grown substantially in recent years, so buyers comparing communities on racquet programming should look at the current facility rather than older listings.
The Beach Club at Juno Beach
The private beach club sits at 400 Celestial Way in Juno Beach, on its own stretch of Atlantic shoreline. Facilities include a heated outdoor pool, a separate children’s swimming area, cabanas, attended beach service and an oceanfront restaurant serving seafood and coastal cuisine. Shuttle transportation runs between the community and the beach club, so residents can spend a day on the ocean without moving a car.
